Pinspiration! :)

So being out of school over the course of a couple of weeks has allowed me to brush up on some projects I've wanted to do and post online, so here we are! :)

I sanded, painted, cleaned, and added legs to this window to make the perfect coffee table for me and my husband! Total Cost= $20 (for the legs)

The most recent project that I finished was old windows that I sanded, painted, cleaned, nailed fabric, and hung! Total cost $11.

I found this hanger bar in the kitchen section at Ikea. The BEST part of it is that the bar goes through the hooks so the hooks never fall off! The bucket is used for my bracelets!

Gingerbread crayons that I made for my students. I took old crayons, peeled them, cut/broke them into pieces, put in the oven on 350 degrees for 5 min, let them cool and then popped them out of the silicon trays I purchased at Hobby Lobby!

Gett'n Crafty In The Classroom

As a way to help eliminate clutter, provide MORE storage, and allow for MORE seating...with the help from my grandparents we created crate storage seats. In order to create these gems I went to Wal-Mart to purchase the crates for $3.47/crate. I then found pre-cut material for $1.25 for each square (which was the PERFECT size). Then, I purchased some foam to cushion the seat for small bottoms for $15. Next I found some board laying around our house and we cut it to fit inside the crate and sanded it. In order to make the seat I layed down the material, then the foam, then the board. I then took my handy dandy staple gun and stapled the material down and added a loop so I can pop off the top....VA-LA!  I now have some colorful, fun, and practicle furniture for my classroom!

Welcome!

So I've recently become HIGHLY interested in blogs...PINTEREST is part of the reason but the real reason is Google Reader. Needless to say I'm deciding to dabble in the realm of blogs. So welcome to my blog, maybe you'll read it, maybe not. Maybe you'll find something cool or useful, but with everything said...I hope you enjoy what I have on here! :)
